Curl Essence Oreo... |
Oreo is a little black and white girl. I have a spay appointment for her on 4/28. Oreo can go to her new home as soon as she is spayed. We will give her both her 1st and 2nd FVRCP vaccinations at 8wks and 12 wks.

4/13/23 Update... |
I have 8 new videos of these kittens. I also have new still photos. Most of the videos are of the group so I'll be posting on different pages. The one below is mostly of Oreo and Daisy.

Oreo is such an interesting little girl. When we first brought her into the master bedroom, she was one of the larger kittens in the group. But when we started weaning her off her mom's milk, she started loosing weight. We were concerned enough that we started supplementing her dry food with a small amount of wet food morning and evening. Well, it worked. As soon as I would come into the room in the morning, she would run full speed to an empty cage that we have in here for emergencies. She would jam up the side to get inside to her special food like she was starved. I could feed her in there and close the door so the other kittens couldn't get in but leave it unlatched so she could get out when she was done. Well, all this special attention super bonded her to us. She became like a shadow. She would lay on my desk next to me when I was on the computer and sleep snuggled next to Mike at night. She would act like she was starved when I would bring out the wet food. Which she might have been. My theory is that she cut back on eating the dry food because she would rather fill up with the wet food. That wasn't my plan, so once she got up to a healthy weight, we stopped the wet food altogether and she's back to eating the dry. And her weight is fine. This is a really long story to say this: 1 - Oreo is easily spoiled and 2 - and she responds to being spoiled. The special treatment (in the form of wet food that only she got) did not go unnoticed. She showed her appreciation in extra attention and affection. Bottom line... If you are interested in this little girl, special treats will break down any barriers in no time.

Brittany's babies have been in our large 12' playpen long enough to show us they could maneuver the bedroom and other condos without hurting themselves, so we brought them out this morning. It's still overcast from our Calif storms... lighting could be better, but I think you'll like our photos and videos anyway.

We usually have one kitten that dominates the toys when we first bring them out into the bedroom and play with them on the bed. It's obvious from the videos I took today that Oreo is that kitten. I have a couple of videos of her. In the first with the bell toy, she actually broke it. I brought out this fluffy mouse on a string and she did the same thing. This is a girl that will easily adapt to a home with other pets or kids.

We graduated Brittany and her babies from the nursery to the large playpen in the master bedroom They were having a ball exploring all the different levels and cubby holes. The kittens are always a kick watching them explore this play area for the first time. I only got a few pics worth posting. We'll take more over the next couple of days.

Oreo and Tiana kind of stuck together when we first started taking these pictures. Oreo being a little more cautious while Tiana was all over the place. It took me a little longer to get Oreo to respond to my toy, but once she decided it was fun, she was all in. I took a video of her playing with the toy... if it won't upload, I'll take more over the next couple of days. These babies haven't explored the tops of the 2 tall condos yet. They played themselves out and need a long nap.

We put these little stuffed animals and silk flowers around the edge for the kittens to make them feel more comfortable. It gives them something to check out and nibble on. You'll notice in several of our videos that when they loose interest in the toy, they will go checkout the stuffed animals or flowers. Usually Olaf is everyone's favorite.

I almost called this little girl "Bandit" because of the perfect masked marking on her face with that white dart from her nose up to her forehead. Then, I thought Oreo.

Oreo has these cute little white feet with this thin white collar around her neck and splash of black on her nose like she stuck her face in something black and didn't clean her face. She is very unique little girl.
Don't forget to check out the other kitten pages for more pictures that may have Oreo in them.
