Thinking of Purchasing One of Our Kittens?
We will allow our kittens to go to their new homes at 10-12 weeks. When you have decided on a specific kitten that is still available (all the kittens currently available will be shown on the Kittens for Sale page), and you are ready for a sales agreement, we can discuss a letting the kitten go to your home at 10-11 weeks.
We provide both 1st FVRCP and 2nd FVRCP booster vaccinations for our kittens. 1st vaccine is between 8-9 wks of age 2nd vaccination is 3-4 wks layer. We also provide registration paperwork so you can register with CFA once spayed or neutered.

There are a few things we need to know about you when we first... such as:
1. Tell us a little about your home... Do you live alone? do you have kids? if so, what ages, do you have other pets? You get the picture, right? We want to be sure we place the right personality kitten in your home. By the time the kittens are around 3 months old, we can tell which ones will do better in a quieter home environment and which would do well with a more active home.
2. Then, we would like to know if you've had other pets, and if so, what kind... again, will this be your first pet or do you have experience with cats?
3. How did you find us? Internet search? friend referral? met at a cat show? ... or???
4. Where do you live? Will you be able to pick up in person or do we need to ship?

Costs to Ship by Live Cargo
"Live Cargo" means we ship the kitten in the cargo compartment of the airplane.... don't worry... it's perfectly safe for the kitten. They usually just curl up under their bed for the flight. We've shipped overseas on flights that took 24 hours and the kitten arrived without any problems. The costs to ship live cargo are below.
Airfare. Airfare is $400-$450 . Base price for the carrier on Alaska Airlines is $400. Anything over that is determined by weight of cat. (Expect around $430)
Health Cert. The cost for the health cert with rabies is $260.
Spay/neuter/vaccinations. FVRCP, and deworm are included in purchase price of the kitten. Rabies is required by most airlines. This cost is included in the cost for the health cert. The vets at both of the low cost spay/neuter clinics in this area have retired so we currently don't have the ability to spay or neuter prior to delivery of your new kitten. Until we can find another low cost spay/neuter clinic within driving distance, the new owner(s) will be responsible to schedule these surgeries. Most low cost spay/neuter clinics will charge between $80-$90 for a spay and something like $60-$80 for the neuter. We expect the surgeries to be done before the kittens are 6 mo old. We will provide registration paperwork with proof of spay/neuter surgery.
Carrier, pad, food tray is $90.

Or... you can pickup in person
We live in Southern California. If you are within driving distance, you can pick up in person. If not, we will meet you at the airport so you can catch a return flight the same day. We prefer San Diego International airport, but we can also meet at John Wayne International Airport in Orange County or Ontario International in Corona. If you decide to carry the kitten onboard with you, you will not need any of the documentation listed above. I have a nice little soft carrier that you can buy on Amazon on my Basic Kitten Care page. You can have it shipped to our home and we will meet you at the airport with your kitten already inside your new carrier to make things easier for you. If you're flying into San Diego and have a couple hours between flights, we will meet you at the curb outside the ticketing counters and take you down the street to a little restaurant so you can stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat. Then, we'll drop you back at the airport for your return flight.
Requesting Price and/or a Sales Agreement
We are asked all the time for the price of our kittens. I don't publish that on this website because we don't feel it's right to encourage people to "price shop" for their next family member... and that's what our babies are. We state that our kittens become "part of our family before they become part of yours" because that's the absolute truth. We treat them like part of the family and we expect their new owners to do the same. In all our years of breeding this unique breed, we've found that to be absolutely true. You've probably already done some research on the breed. One of the better sites to research that talks about the breed accurately and will give you an expectation of what you can expect to pay for a purebred American Curl is: http://www.metaphoricalplatypus.com/articles/animals/cats/cat-breeds/american-curl-cat-breed-profile/ This is what this site has to say about expected cost of an American Curl. We recommend you read the entire article on the American Curl.
Adopting an American Curl Kitten or Cat
"Prices for American Curl kittens are quite variable. Purebred American Curls cost approximately $1,000-$2,000 or more when obtained from legitimate breeders, with pet quality kittens at the lower end of the price spectrum and show quality at the upper end. Some pet quality American Curls actually have completely straight ears, but still have the appealing Curl personality, body style, and coat type."

If you want a sales agreement from us for a specific kitten, email us a [email protected]. All our pet kittens are priced the same no matter the color or show quality. However, if you are interested in showing, be sure you let us know that. We will help you get started and will do our best to make sure you get the best show quality kitten we can. If you're going to show, we want you TO WIN as much as you do. We request a $500 deposit when you return the sales agreement which is a word document. Just fill in the blanks and return as an email attachment. For your protection and for ours, all payments are made through Paypal. The balance of the purchase price and any shipping costs are due 15 days before you receive your new kitty. Spay/neuter fees, 1st FVRCP vaccination and deworm is included in the purchase price. Once we have your signed sales agreement and deposit, we mark the kitten sold and move the photos of your kitten to a new page for SOLD KITTENS. That way, anyone looking for a kitten will not be confused as to which kittens are available and which are already spoken for. I will continue to post new photos of your kittens every couple of weeks so you can watch your new baby as he/she grows.
Reserving a kitten...
If you haven't settled on a specific kitten yet but want to reserve on of our babies, I will send you a Reserved Sales Agreement. Then when you decide on which kitten you want later, I will replace the Reserved Kitten Sales Agreement with a new sales agreement for the specific kitten you've decided will be the best match your home and family. As soon as we've received your signed sales agreement, the kitten is marked SOLD on the website and photos are moved to a Sold Kittens page so you can continue to watch for new photos as we post them so you can watch your new baby grow.
I hope the information on this page will answer most of your questions about purchasing a kitten from us, however, please, PLEASE email me if I can provide any additional information regarding our kittens. I love to hear from the people that are visiting our website. Email address is [email protected].
