The American Curl Standard

Every breed in both CFA and TICA have a "standard" that describes each characteristic for that specific breed.  We created a separate website in 2015 primarily to train new breeders how to evaluate their Curl for the show hall whether they were showing in TICA, CFA, FiFE (primarily Europe), or in ACFA. The website was also used and referenced in training materials for CFA judges. It's pretty intense, but if you're interested in exactly what breeders and judges in these 4 associations look for in evaluating an American Curl, I decided to add the pages on the more significant features to our Curlessence website.  Mike and I prepared the CFA Breed Presentation the first year Mike became CFA Breed Council Secretary.  The BP is a slideshow used for teaching CFA judges on how to evaluate a Curl in the shows.
