Charlotte is a silver tabby with huge eyes. She is really my girl. You know how some cats just choose one person to be "their person"? Well, Charlotte has done that with me. She will share her time between both Mike and me, but after she's gone back and forth between us for awhile, she will end up with her face 3" from mine. And with those big eyes glaring into my face, she just knows I'm going to give in and pet her, and pet her, and pet her some more. Or if just the big eyes staring into my face doesn't do the trick, she will ever so gently reach out one paw and pat my cheek... What can I say? Who can resist that?

Opie is our chocolate smoke boy. We like to use Opie a lot in our breeding program for a couple of reasons... first, he's chocolate, but besides that, he's our smallest boy and has always, always given us really great kittens, no matter which girls we put him with.

8/26... Tasha and Nadia are both ready to go to their new forever homes. I promised several new pics and videos of these 2 fisty little girls. Nadia has more individual photos. Tasha had found a stuffed mouse toy band was in high gear before I even came into the room this morning. You're going to see more of Tasha in the videos because I had such a hard time getting her to sit in one place long enough for the individual shots I wanted. I hope I captured the color in her coat enough for you to see how extremely pretty and unique she is. Both girls are beyond super friendly and sweet. I have a hard time working in this room without one of them crawling all over me, walking across my keyboard or just knocking things off my desk to get my attention. The families who adopt either of these little girls are going to go absolutely bonkers over them.
I hadn't planned to take this video. I had just come into the room, sat down at the computer. I was planning to take some new pictures and videos of the girls today anyway, but Tasha had found a stuffed mouse and she and Nadia were having so much fun playing by themselves that I just had to try to capture some of it for you. We have all kinds of toys in this room to entertain the kittens... for some reason, they always seem to accumulate over in this corner of the room.
7/27... We normally would have brought Charlotte's kids into the large cage in the master bedroom a week or two ago, but we felt they were better off in their familiar 8ft cage in the nursery until we delivered several of the Brittany and Colette babies. We brought them into the bedroom a couple days ago but didn't let them interact with the older kittens until yesterday. They aren't fully comfortable with the old kittens yet, but the 2 groups should start playing with each other in a day or two. Nadia and Tasha are available. I'm creating a separate page for each one so you can see more individual photos. Nadia is clearly much lighter than Tasha. You'll see that in the photos with them together. Also Nadia has been much more outgoing... the first to attack the toys outside the large 12ft cage in this room. Nadia and Tasha seem to have paired off together when they play. I think it's more because they are closer in personalities.. both more outgoing and willing to explore this new environment. I have a slideshow of Nadia pics and another of both Nadia and Tash together. I didn't have enough pics of Tasha by herself to create a slideshow. They are still a little nervous in these new surroundings. I'll get new pics in a couple of days when I can get videos of them playing.

7/5... We took these new pics of Charlotte's girls this afternoon. Nadia is the lighter of the two in the pictures of them together. Tasha is much darker. Both are super sweet. When we took these pics, we still had Charlotte and her babies in the nursery in am 8ft run with lots of platforms and toys for them to exercise on and play. They all loved to be picked up and talked to. I would try to get Charlotte to spend more time around the house, but she preferred to be in the 8ft run with the babies. Mike and I would take turns visiting them frequently each day. Every time either of us go into that room, they cry for us to pick them up and talk to them. Socializing our kittens starts when they are first born and continues with us visiting them over and over again each day... picking them up and talking to them frequently.

This is one of our first group shots. Mom lets the kids sleep when she's not nursing them. The 8ft cage in the nursery is 2 4ft cages side by side and open on one end to make one long 8ft cage. I have 4 carpeted triangle shelves in each corner of these cages that hang from the top plus a carpeted tunnel on one side between the triangles for the babies to climb up and down on and Mom's canvas carrier on the other side which serves as their birthing home until they are big enough to explore outside. The top of this carrier is open so Mom can hang out on one of the carpeted triangles to keep an eye on the kids. She's giving them plenty of space to move around or snuggle next to each other for a nap, and she's readily available to drop down for a visit when they need her. The one in the back is a girl, as is the one on the far right. The 2 boys are in front.
