Two babies born on 12/5/24. One is a red silver boy named Curl Essence Bells-a-Ringing ("Ringo ") and
a chocolate tabby girl named Curl Essence Liberty's Bell ("Libby."). Photos of these babies are below. Both are available. |
SGC Bellabee of Curl Essence became a three show Supreme Grand Champion in TICA... actually she would have been a two show Supreme but her first show was on the last weekend of the year in April of 2019. She took a break to have her first litter. She was Best of Breed International in TICA with only two months to go in the 2019-2020 show season. Bellabee is a Chocolate Classic Torbie.

3/10.. It's been awhile since I've added new photos and video of this little guy although I've chatted with several people about him. Here are a bunch of new photos I took just this morning when I came into the room this morning to hang out with Bellabee and her kids. Bellabee is a super mom... even though these guys have been weaned for months now, she likes to just hang out close to them supervising their playtimes. Libby is sold and will be going to her new home at the end of the month. Ringo can leave anytime. We have allowed most of the other adult cats into the room with these kids from time to time so they are ok with other adult cats, but we've been reluctant to let them have the run of the house. By keeping them close with us, it teaches them to expect their attention from the humans rather than from the other cats in the house.... we will let their new owners do that. We've found that doing this makes it easier for them to bond quickly to their new families and any other pets they have in their new homes.
I could talk about how sweet and friendly Ringo is, but I will let these new photos and videos do that for me.

2/22... I snatched a couple of new pics for you of Ringo this morning when he and Libby were jamming around the room. These 2 are 'jet-packed'. It's hard to catch either of them in one place unless they are napping. Both are sleeping on the bed at night. They are both super sweeties. Here's the few pics that I got today that weren't blurred by motion blurr.
02/07... Ringo and Libby are now 8 wks old. They have been in the large custom cage in the master bedroom now for about a week, with mom. We decided to bring them out this morning so they could explore the entire room. They are just so cute at this age that I couldn't help but to take a few quick pics of them and a couple of short videos. Below are the photos and video of Ringo. We'll be leaving both out for the rest of the day, however, after they explored for awhile, they decided to go back into the cage to snooze on their favorite condos inside the cage.
These babies are 5 weeks old in the slideshow below. They are active and romping all over the 2 carpeted tunnels and 3 carpeted triangles inside their 8' long cage in the nursery. They aren't eating solid food yet. Normally, the kittens will start eating solid food and start using the litter box between 5-6 weeks of age. The carpeted tunnels give the babies something to climb on to strengthen those little legs. We go in and talk to them and pick them up a couple times a day. This is really important for "socializing" the kittens. We've found over the years of breeding that handling the new kittens frequently when they are this young is critical to teaching them that their humans are their friends.
