Raphael, cream tabby boy from Bellabee and Opie... |
Born 4/10.

Raphael is shown here as available, however, we've been holding onto him to show him if we don't find the right home for him. I really need to add a couple of videos of him playing with the laser light to really show his true personality. He keeps us in stitches when we bring out the laser lights. He knows where we keep them next to where we watch TV. Boy! The first glimpse of the light and he's on high alert. I'll get some video up tomorrow or the next day. For now, I have some still of the different kittens to get uploaded..

Raphy has obviously put on a lot of coat since he was a youngster. We don't spend much time brushing him and it shows in the 2 videos on the main adoptions page.

Probably the most significant thing I can say about Raphy is how much he loves to play. He makes us chuckle every time we pull out a toy or the laser light. It's like he has this 'toy radar'. You can physically see his antennas go up. His eyes open wide and he's head has this 'high alert' look. Raphy just can't get enough of playing with our toys. Oh, and if you're stupid enough to let him get a good grip on it, he'll literally pull the toy out of your hands. This is really serious business to him. Raphy is a sweetie. He never causes any problems with the other cats, but I wouldn't call him a snuggler. My girls are more snuggly. And some of the boys. Now, that could change when he doesn't have so much competition for attention. Raphy is more of a gentleman. He won't push his way through the other cats to get our attention. Even when we bring out the toys, if he feel overwhelmed, he will back off and wait for us to turn to focus the toy in his direction.
Here's Raphael... our cream boy
But now, let's talk personality. Raphael is not a demanding cat. He's a perfect gentleman all the time. He plays well with all the other cats but he's not pushy or dominate. And he's got this really cute little "yip" sometimes when he gets excited or when he first comes into the room and sees us. And when it comes to toys.... OMG! He goes absolutely nuts. His ears and head go on "high alert". He arches his neck as if his antennas just went up. Then, when we stop, he will just sit with this look of expectation on his face with eyes wide open waiting for the toy or the laser light to reappear. It really is too funny. My daughter and granddaughter came over for a few minutes a couple days ago and we pulled out the laser light. He had us all howling with laughter.

Reserving a Kitten....
We are taking reservations for future kittens now. We reserve the right for first pick of any of our litters for ourselves to show, however, if you reserve a kitten from a future litter, you will have first pick (after us of course). I keep track of the sequence that I receive Reserved Kitten Agreements and offer kittens in that same sequence.... in other words, the person who has returned the first Reserve Agreement will have first pick of any new litters. After that, the 2nd person who has returned a Reserve Agreement can select a kitten, and so on. Anyone with a Reserve Agreement can wait for another litter if they want to wait for a kitten from another litter if they want, and the same sequence for selecting a specific kitten will still apply.
