Curl Essence Natasha...
8/19.. We've been letting Natasha and Tara loose in the bedroom for several hours in the mornings. They run circles around the entire room until they finally crash back on one of the condos. I managed to get a couple of decent still photos and videos for you. Hope you enjoy.
We initially called Natasha a seal lynx point but now that her colors are developing, we've changed to calling her a bicolor. Her color looks more chocolate than seal. The best way to tell chocolate is from paw pads and nose leather, but the vote is still out on the color. I included a photo of her body to show the unique marbling on her. She gets prettier by the day.
8/6...Below are a few new photos taken this morning. Yesterday we started bringing both Natasha and Tara into one of the bedrooms to let them run around on the floor and to play with toys. Yesterday, Natasha was only interested in exploring while Tara immediately focused on the toys. IToday, we got Natasha to play with a toy... we had to bring out a smaller one and tease her away from Tara. We haven't really noticed Tara being more aggressive, but obviously, Natasha wasn't up to challenging Tara for the toy.... however, when we took her to the side and played with her by herself for a few minutes, she came out of her shell. When we ended the play session, they were both competing for the same toy. I have 2 short videos of Natasha below. Because they were on the floor, it was harder to get good face shots.
7/20... Well, I know I promised new photos and videos this weekend. I have a couple of cute still shots, but Natasha was more interested in being held than the toy and Tara only pawed at the toy while she was investigating this new place she was in. Here's what I got today. I guess we're a little early to get these girls to play with the toy. We'll give it another shot in a couple of days.
These 2 short little videos of Tara was all I could get this time... We'll try again in a couple days.
7/12... So these little girls are just 3 weeks old in the photos below, but their colors are starting to be really apparent. Natasha is a seal lynx point. Tara is a really pretty little silver. We can see that silver coming in more and more. We'll be able to show you more of the silver in the next couple of weeks. We let our kittens go to their new homes at about 12 weeks. By then, they will be playing with us and probably sleeping on the bed at nights. We'll give them more space to romp and play when they are a little bigger and start getting more active.
Tara was much easier to shoot because she would find a place and just sit land ook pretty. Tasha, on the other hand,, wanted to walk around and check out this new place she was in. It was harder for me to get her to look up so I could show you her pretty little face.

Tara was so cute when we would rub her little back. She just melted into the feel of our hands on her..

Colette has been such a great little mommy. She had these girls in the middle of the night and had them all cleaned up when we got up in the morning. She has been curled up in her little home with these 2 girls snuggled up next to her almost 24/7 since they were born. We each go into the nursery 3-4 times a day to check on mom and babies. When we do, she will come out of the little gazebo tent she chose for her home her babies. We had several other choices, but she chose this older, somewhat "ratty and worn" tent. But what can you say? right? Mom gets to choose where she decides if the most comfortable for her new family. Mom comes out to say hi most of the time when we come in to visit, but not always. Sometimes, she just stays curled up against the back wall with her girls tucked in front of her. We don't like to pull the babies out of their little home too much when they are this little. They are better off just staying snuggled with mom. We brought them out in the light for these quick pics so we could show you how cute they are. They should start crawling around more in another week or two for new photos.
