Charlotte & Opie

Charlotte is a silver tabby with huge eyes.  She is really my girl.  You know how some cats just choose one person to be "their person"?  Well, Charlotte has done that with me.  She will share her time between both Mike and me, but after she's gone back and forth between us for awhile, she will end up with her face 3" from mine.  And with those big eyes glaring into my face, she just knows I'm going to give in and pet her, and pet her, and pet her some more.  Or if just the big eyes staring into my face doesn't do the trick, she will ever so gently reach out one paw and pat my cheek... What can I say?  Who can resist that?

Opie is our chocolate smoke boy.  We like to use Opie a lot in our breeding program for a couple of reasons... first, he's chocolate, but besides that, he's our smallest boy and has always, always given us really great kittens, no matter which girls we put him with.

Curl Essence Lance - Charlotte's red silver boy...

DOB  6/1.
10/25.  As of now, we are planning to use Lance to get back into the show halls for 2025. The first show we can get him into is Nov 8 & 9 at Arcadia for TICA.  We would consider selling him to the right home, but he's such a special boy, both in personality and physically to the AC Standard, he would only be available to the right family.  If you would like to meet him in person, please stop by at that show to say hi to us and to Dante.

9/27... I haven't posted a lot of photos and videos of Lance over the past couple of weeks primarily because we've been watching him as a potential show cat for us.   We had him neutered last week with the expectation of keeping him to show in Alter//Premier class.  He is still available for sale though.  There aren't any shows scheduled that he could be entered into while he's still in Kitten Class and sometimes, starting a new cat in the shows that hasn't had the experience of the show halls/show baths/show commotion, etc can be hard on these babies.  Mike took this short video a couple days ago first thing in the morning while he was watching the news.  Normally, we try to vacuum before we shoot pics, but this video is just too funny to keep to ourselves.
The littermates for these 2 boys had already gone to their new homes... The latest to leave us was Magnum, a chocolate smoke boy.  Magnum finally shipped to France last Wednesday.  Shipping kittens internationally is SUCH a lot of work!  We would normally like to see our kittens go to their new homes between 10-12 weeks of age so they can bond with their new family, but we decided to keep Maverick, Lance and Magnum in the master bedroom & bath area to keep them separated from the rest of the adult cats until we could ship Magnum.  Once Magnum was gone, we immediately opened the bedroom doors to let these 2 red boys have the run of the house.  I took these next photos as Lance was just starting to explore the row of condos in the hall outside the bedroom doors.

8/11  Lance is the lighter of the two red boys.  His brother, the darker red is sold.  I could try to describe his personality, but it's probably easier to just let you see for yourself.  We took several short videos this morning of Lance, Tanya and Magnum.   I'm putting different videos on each of these kittens' pages so please go checkout the other pages to see all the videos we took today.
After we took these videos, Tanya jumped on the bed to play with the toys we keep on the bed.  There's a  longer video on Tanya's page that includes Lance towards the end of the video.  I got the photos below when he jumped on the bed to join the game.
7/25...These 2 are so fun, plus red boys just seem to have that "something special" that you can't put into words.  But then, we've always like red boys.  There are breeders in all the different breeds that have said the same thing.  There's no genetic reason why people who have red boys always rave about them so much, but they do.  We've been watching for a good cat to get us back into the show halls. ... We're watching Lance to see if he will be that one.
7/8.  I decided to wait to make a separate page for each of these boys until we take their next pics.  I have a lot of cute photos of these two.  Jasper is the darker boy and will usually be on the left.  Lance is a little lighter red with more silver undercoat.  Jasper was the first to go for the toy while Lance was smelling the stuffed animals and flowers.  But it didn't take long time for Lance to decide to challenge his brother for the toy.
Below are a couple of short videos of Lance and Jasper.  I try to keep these videos about 1 minute so they don't take too long to load on your phone or computer.

6/20... Below are several new photos of Charlotte's babies so you can see their colors.  Click on any of the photos below to enlarge them.

These 2 boys look a lot alike, but the one on the right in these photos is a little lighter than his brother.  He also has a little more white on his face.  We don't have names for them yet.... we'll work on that before we take their next pics.
