Heather...Brittany seal lynx point girl
New photos and videos 11/14... |
I'm creating a separate page for each of Brittany's babies. These babies are all so incredibly sweet there's really not much else I can say about them. I had so many really cute shots of her. |
I have at least one short video of each of Brittany's babies. The videos take longer to upload. I'll come back and upload the videos after I get all the individual pages done with the still photos of each baby.
Heather is a seal lynx point girl. The "M" on the forehead is part of the lynx markings. She almost attacked the toy when we brought her into the bathroom by herself for these pictures. All of Brittany's babies want our attention as soon as we go into the room. In fact, even if they hear us talking out in the hallway or in the next room, they will start crying for us to come in to see them. They need to be just a little bigger before we can bring them into the master bedroom in that big double 12' play area. They are too small to interact with Shelly's babies and they are still to small to keep in this play area. They would just crawl through the sides. As soon as they are big enough to play with Shelly's babies, we'll bring them in so they can run and play in the entire room.
10/31 photos and short video |
We brought each of Brittany's babies into the bathroom where we could take these pics and short video under better light than in the nursery.

They are a little scruffy because we haven't let mom in with them for the last couple of days. The moms will typically groom the babies to keep their coats looking nice but Brittany seems more interested in the wet food we've been feeding them. At this age, the kittens should be filling up on kitten food instead of nursing on mom. But we noticed that they didn't appear to be eating the dry food as much as we thought they should so I started mixing the dry food with some canned food, which they mac on. But if I let mom in the cage with them, she cleans up all the new food mix. Here's the new pics. I just wanted to explain why their coats look a little scruffy.
I have a short video of her playing that I'll upload as soon as I get the still photos of the other kittens uploaded to the website.

I took new pictures of Brittany's babies for you to see how they have grown and how their colors are developing. I'm not creating new pages for each kitten yet, but will when we take our next photos.

The pictures below are of Diva and Heather. Here's how I'm telling them apart. As they grow, the distinguishing features will become easier to see... but Diva is much lighter in color and has distinct 'M' marking on her forehead which is the 'lynx' distinction. Heather is a litter darker, but her distinguishing feature (for me at least) is the white mouth and chin. For personality, they are both really outgoing, except that I've nicknames Diva our little 'piss-ant'. From the time she could walk around, she's the one that screamed to get out of the cage. She was just modeling her mom. Brittany is so attached to me that she can barely be away from me, even to take care of her babies. Brittany taught her from day 1 to want to get out and be with the humans. She may end up being the more strong willed on the group. For now, she's definitely very outgoing.
9/19... I promised better pics of Brittany's babies. I took a bunch because I they were moving around so much that I had a hard time getting what I liked for the different kittens. She has 3 girls and 1 boy. Because it was so hard to get good shots of each one, I took a couple of short videos to show you their colors and why I was having trouble. The little boy is the darker one, The really light girl is already a pistol. She's constantly whining and scratching to get our of her litter cage. We couldn't be happier with this litter. They are all beautiful! Here goes.....
9/2...I tried to take a couple of quick pictures to show you their colors... I'll replace these. Obviously, it was too dark plus, mom kept getting in the way. She's such an attention hound that we can't open the cage door to look at these babies and mom is right there in front. We'll bring them out and put them under the light in the bathroom tomorrow for better pictures.
