Charlotte and Opie...

Charlotte had 4 kittens in the late fall of 2019.  Opie was not the father... Lovebug, a red and white boy was.  Every one of them could have been candidates for showing. We kept her little calico girl to breed and show.
Expected due date or Charlotte and Opie babies is mid to late February.
Kittens will be ready to go to their new homes at about 10-12wks of age.

Charlotte is a silver patched girl.  We never tried to show her.  Her ears curl too much for us to show, but other than that, she would have done well.  Both Bellabee and Charlotte (both sisters) have super soft fur, but the 2 girls have totally different coats.  Bellabee's is shorter and more plush.  But Charlotte has one of those coats that's so silky soft  that you just can't stop touching...

Reserving a Kitten....

We are taking reservations for future kittens now.  We reserve the right for first pick of any of our litters for ourselves to show, however, if you reserve a kitten from a future litter, you will have first pick (after us of course).  I keep track of the sequence that I receive Reserved Kitten Agreements and offer kittens in that same sequence.... in other words, the person who has returned the first Reserve Agreement will have first pick of any new litters.  After that, the 2nd person who has returned a Reserve Agreement can select a kitten, and so on.  Anyone with a Reserve Agreement can wait for another litter if they want to wait for a kitten from another litter if they want,  and the same sequence for selecting a specific kitten will still apply.
The only reason we didn't keep any of these kittens for our breeding program was because there won't be any shows to go to until after the Covid vaccines are out and it's really important to get the kittens into the show halls while they are still young.   They need those experiences to get them used to the noises, smells and different people while they are still kittens.  It's much harder to show an adult cat that has not started in the show hall as a kitten... so... we're planning on holiday kittens that we can start in the show halls next Spring. I have several really outstanding testimonials from the new owners of kittens we just delivered to add to our testimonial page.

Kittens from Charlotte's Fall 2019 litter...

The kittens below are pictures of Charlotte's kittens when she was bred to Lovebug, a red & white boy.

Leopold, a red silver boy.

Leo should have been a show cat.  He didn't just have the personality for it, but if you want to see a PERFECT textbook ear, check out the picture of his ear curvature below.  You can't get anything better.  He was such an incredible little boy in every way.

Brittany, a calico girl.

We actually still have Brittany.  We wanted to get her into the show halls in 2020, but there weren't any shows to go to.
Then, just our luck, she broke one of her back legs jumping off an entertainment center in Mike's office.  She's totally fine now and even sweeter from the experience, but that one back leg is just a tad crooked.  I don't know if it's enough for judges to notice, but when the shows start up again, we'll probably take her just to see how she does. But look how pretty she is.  OMG!

Payton...

We called this little guy Payton.  He was cute as a bug.

And Spirit.

Spirit was a really pretty black silver little girl.  And check out the ear curvature on her too.  It just goes to show you that it's the genes that produce nice features in an American Curl and not necessarily the awards.
The nice features on these kittens are primarily from Charlotte, not Lovebug.  We debated putting her with Glory, Lovebug's son, but Opie's overall features are more to the AC Standard than Glory so we decided to give it a shot.  Besides, it's always fun to see what a new blend of genetics will produce.  We've always said that breeding American Curls is kind of like opening your presents on Christmas.... you never know what you're going to get.  It's always a surprise.
