Next is Brittany and Opie...

Brittany had 4 gorgeous, strong babies on 8/13.  They will be available to go to their new homes by mid November.

Brittany is a calico.  She's also a fairly small girl. Because both mom and dad are smaller cats, their babies should also be smaller.  I haven't weighted Brittany recently, but I estimate her to be around 6lb at most.  The same with Opie... without weighing him, I estimate he's close to 7lb.

Opie (full name is Curl Essence Obsessed with Chocolate) is a chocolate smoke boy. Opie always passes on his sweet disposition to his babies, as well as really nice ears and eyes.  The other big plus with Opie is his size.  Opie is fairly small boy so his babies are always a nice size.

I have 3 videos that we took Saturday when we first brought them out and put them on the bed to take pictures and to see which toys they would play with.  They are on Preston's page, Shante's page and Jasper ("Stash")'s page.  So take a look at those pages.  They all have Chantelle in them. Both Chantelle and Shante are more timid than the boys, but that's fairly common.  I would have to say that Chantelle is a little quieter than Shante even, but she will come out of that as she gets older.  By the time she's going to her new home, she's be wrestling with the boys.

Photos taken 9/13...

We brought Shante and Chantelle out together for these photos.  We find that when we bring the kittens out for individual photos, they are more comfortable if they have a buddy with them.
Chantelle is a silver patched tabby.  You can see the red patches best on her forehead and front foot but she should have more red marbling show up as she matures.  I fully expect more silver undercoat to come through as her coat fills in too. You can see those red splashes in several of the pics below.  Both Chantelle and Shante were so interested in this new place we took them to that I had trouble getting them to look up.  We can usually get the babies at this age to eventually start chasing the small mouse toy, but not these two.  All they wanted to do was walk around and check out the strange smells on the rug and stuffed animals.  So to get pictures of their faces, I started talking to them and rubbing their backs.  They both just melted into my hands.  All of Brittany's babies are already eager to be rubbed and petted.  Every time either of us go in to visit them, they all come over to the cage doors to greet us.

These are of Chantelle and Shante together.  I took a couple with me holding their little faces for you to see them because they were so focused on just walking around and investigating that I had trouble getting them to look up so I could shoot their little faces.  But once I got my hands on them, they were perfectly happy to just sit in one place and have me rub their little backs.
