CH Curl Essence Celine is a chocolate point girl. She is a smaller girl with the perfect "silky, laying flat" coat called for in the AC Standard.  She also has the perfect head shape and body style for the AC Standard... well, basically, she's probably one of the best American Curl females to the AC Standard in both CFA and TICA.

DCH Curl Essence Dream on My Curl (or "Dreamer" as we call him) is a chocolate lynx tabby point.  I seem to always underestimate Dreamer as a breeder.  He's such a "gentleman" that I rarely witness him breeding our queens.  I use this photo of Dreamer because it shows just his sweet personality.  He just loves to have us spend time with him... well, all my boys do, but Dreamer is such a sweetie that he just seems to snuggle into our hands.  The judges loved him.  He is a Double Grand Champion in TICA.

Turn your volume up for the next 2 videos.  When we brought out this string toy, she went nuts.  She attacked this string growling like she was this big fierce attack animal.  Hearing this little thing growling and hissing at this string was too, too funny.  Our adult cats love this string toy.   We've had this forever.  Every time the cats destroy the ribbons, I just pull out a new piece of ribbon from my sewing drawer, throw the old one away and replace with a new ribbon.  You can buy toys with a wand and string attached, but why?  I buy the wands from Amazon with a string and toy on the end.  When the cats pull the toy off, we just tie a piece of ribbon on the end of the string and bingo!  Actually, they seem to prefer the ribbons.

These are the videos and pics I took first thing this morning.  This little girl just loves to romp around the master bedroom but she's still too small to leave in the room by herself, and if I close her into the big cage, she whins and cries.  I wanted to leave her out but she still needs constant attention so she doesn't get hurt.  I'll keep bringing her out to play with us a little each day.  She found this little banana in the middle of the room and I couldn't help but to take a couple pics of her.  She just gets so excited about new things.

03/18...

Tammy is a real sweetie, but then, I've been bringing her out of her nursery cage with mom every day to expose her to us and the world outside her world with mom.
I make it a point to pull Tammy out of her nursery cage to handle her and socialize her.  I brought her into the master bedroom this morning for about half an hour.  She's still a little small to be left in this big cage with the big condos but she had a really good time.  One of the adult boys was so curious about her that he sat on one of the condos watching her.  She showed no fear of the adult cats and walked all around the bottom of this big cage.  I sat on the floor outside so she would have more room to walk around and explore. She was so curious about all the new smells.  This is a large custom cage with 2 tall condos and (1) 4ft condo between them.  We use this cage when the kittens are big enough to enjoy the different levels.  Mike came in to join me after awhile and I had him hold her for a couple of photos.  Tammy loves to have her back rubbed.  She's easy to pick up and hold.  I've decided that when I have the time, I'm going to start carrying her around the house with me during the day just to expose her to the other house cats and the other rooms.  She's ready.  Tammy would be great at a home where she can get a lot of attention.  She doesn't have other littermates to interact with but she's perfectly happy being handled by Mike and I.  Herre are a couple of pics I took this morning.

I took this short video while she was exploring this new area.  She's not afraid at all... just very curious about the smells.  I'll bring her in here again later this afternoon after she's had a nap so she can get more exercise in this larger area and with the tall condos.

3/13 Photos

Tammy is 6 wks old in these photos.  Celine has just this one little lit.  She snuggles with mom a lot.  To socialize her, we have started bringing her out with us a couple times each day.  I'm starting to feed her baby food on my finger to bond with her.  Once she is weaned, we'll bring her into the master bedroom with us to socialize her to us and transfer her dependence from mom to us... That's usually around 8 weeks of age.  I have to see her eating solid food and using the litter box before I move her.  I plan to add a couple of new photos of her by herself and in brighter lighting the first of next week.  She's really pretty and I want to be able to show her off better.
She looks like she's going to be a carbon copy of mom.
