Brittany and Opie...
Brittany had 4 little cuties on Jan 16.
Brittany is a pretty little calico girl. We had intended to show her, but Brittany was one of those "tom girls" as a youngster. She was convinced she was unbreakable and could swing from the chandeliers. She was in one of her "fly through the air" moods one day and as she leaped from the top of one of our tall bookshelves, a bookend followed her down and fell on her back leg which broke her leg. The vet put the leg in a soft cast for 8 weeks but unfortunately, her back legs are not as perfectly straight as they were before the accident. Straight legs is a BIG deal in the show halls. We may still decide to show her someday, but we had to give up on expecting the big finals. Until then, we've let her have babies, which she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES! She is a terrific mom!

2 boys and 2 girls. Both boys have been spoken for by people with a Reserve Kitten Sales Agreement. I have 1 Reserve Kitten Agreement for a girl but don't know which one (or if both) will be available. The 2 girls are a blue and a color point. Our Reserve Kitten Sales Agreement allows for you to pick from "any current or future" litters. I will notify anyone with a signed Reserve Kitten Sales Agreement with deposit to have first pick from new litters before I make the kittens available to the public. If you are interested in reserving a kitten from a future litter, please contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can see one of the color point on her neck in the photo below and by her back leg. I took these at 4 days old. The sexes are really hard to tell at this age. The red is for sure a boy. One CP is for sure a boy. Pretty sure the other CP is a girl and the blue LOOKS LIKE a girl... We'll check again early next week just to make sure we got it right. The 2 boys (the red and the boy CP) were spoken for already with Reserve Kitten Sales Agreements. I also have 1 girl requested but this new owner hasn't confirmed which girl they want.
I already made spay & neuter appointments for 2 girls and 2 boys for April 2nd just to make sure I got on the schedule. Female appointments are hard to get because the clinic won't do as many girls in 1 day as they will the boys because it's a more indepth surgery. I'll be watching their weights closely at 8 weeks to make sure they are big enough for the clinic to take them. The minimum weight this vet will accept is 2 lbs. One ounce under and they send the kitten home and I have to reschedule. That's not a huge issue for the boys, but the first appointments available for a girl is typically 7-8 weeks out even if I'm rescheduling. The kittens can go to their new homes the next day after the surgeries. They will have been on solid food and using the litter box for a good 6-7 weeks before they are spayed or neutered. Read the bottom of my Kittens For Sale page for how we "socialize" our kittens for you.

Reserving a kitten from a future litter...
We are taking reservations for future kittens now. We reserve the right for first pick of any of our litters for ourselves to show, however, if you reserve a kitten from a future litter, you will have first pick (after us of course). I keep track of the sequence that I receive Reserved Kitten Agreements and offer kittens in that same sequence.... in other words, the person who has returned the first Reserve Agreement will have first pick of any new litters. After that, the 2nd person who has returned a Reserve Agreement can select a kitten, and so on. Anyone with a Reserve Agreement can wait for another litter if they want to wait for a kitten from another litter if they want, and the same sequence for selecting a specific kitten will still apply.
