Silver Belle and Cimmy
You could say that the American Curl is the X-Cat of the cat world since the American Curl stems from a natural spontaneous mutation introduced in 1981 in Lakewood California. The cinematic version of the X-Men shows us mutations where special powers and abilities are brought forth in human form. Not unlike these science fiction characters, these wonderful furry kittens also possess special powers, but unlike their theatrical counterparts there are not good X-Cats and bad X-Cats... only good. Some of their special powers are that they are known to be the Peter Pan of Cats because they keep their kitten like playfulness well into old age. They are also known to be dog-like in personality. They will follow you around, sleep on you, wake you up to love on you and most importantly they observe everything you do just in case you need them to fill in for you even on your computer project... after all they are most adept at chasing the mouse (fact - no pun) and typing code on your keyboard.
So in the spirit of humor that these cats so often display (there isn't a day that goes by that Linda and I don't laugh several times at their behavior) I have named these kittens in Silver Bell's litter (not Tinker Bell) after X-Men characters just for fun. However if you bring one of these magical furry love bugs home you can rename them.

Cimmy (full name is Curl Essence Cimmaron) is a cream lynx point. He is the first kitten we ever had with this bright white coat and light cream on the points. Cimmy is our oldest boy... he is 12 yrs old. We weren't even sure he could still breed but he's such a great cat, we decided to give it a shot. Cimmy is probably the very sweetest boy we've had. He gets so excited when either of us get close to him that we have to tap him on the nose when he nibbles on us,.. he just gets so overwhelmed with his affection that he can't help himself. Now, how could you object to that much love?

Belle has 4 babies born on 5/19. They are (1) Wolverine, a seal lynx point bon, (2) Raven, a seal torti point girl, (3) Rogue, and (4) Hawkeye, a black silver boy.
"Belle" is a silver girl. Belle has fantastic curled ears, big eyes and great profile ("profile" is the shape of the head looking from the side starting at the tip of the nose and curving into the forehead up to the base of the ears. In a Curl, we are looking for a nice gentle "S". The tip of the nose to just below the eyes where the profile curves up into the forehead should be straight, or flat... check out Belle's nose... see how straight the top of the bridge of the nose is? )
