Ariel - Savannah/Opie color point girl... |
Ariel was born on Jan 11th. If she is not sold as a breed/show cat, she will be spayed on 4/1 at 12 wks of age and go to her new home immediately after that.

Savannah has been a phenomenal mom!! She has taken such outstanding care of these 3 prized possessions. She is so incredibly proud of herself and her new family, there just aren't words.

We graduated Brittany and her babies from the nursery to the large playpen in the master bedroom They were having a ball exploring all the different levels and cubby holes. The kittens are always a kick watching them explore this play area for the first time. I only got a few pics worth posting. We'll take more over the next couple of days.

Tiana immediately made herself right at home in this big playpen. She explored one side to the other and when I brought out the toy with bells on it, she was all over it. I took lots of video of Tiana and Oreo but my computer had trouble opening them... no worries... we'll just take more in the next couple of days.

We have 2 color point girls... one is Ariel in Savannah's litter. The other is Tiana is Brittany's litter.

I'm watching both of these girls as potential breed/show cats for a breeder who is waiting has been waiting for the right girl for over 6 months. If 1 of these girls turns out to be that girl, the other one will be for sale.

I bought this little purple house on Amazon to replace the little "birthing" home they've been in since they were born. It's totally enclosed with netting on the sides, but it makes a secure, safe place for mom to have her babies in.
|
The reason I replaced it with this new one is because I wanted the babies to start walking around to strengthen their little legs.
I just put this new house in the long 8 ft cage and too this video so you could see them start exploring and so you can see how well we've designed the layout of this cage for the babies before they go into the big cage in the master bedroom.

Their eyes are open and they are starting to crawl around inside their little "home". We have them in our large 8' long nursery cage so they will have lots of room to get plenty of exercise once they decide to start exploring. This long cage has several small carpeted platforms and a small carpeted tube for them to crawl on when they are ready.

For now, we decided just to bring them out for these photos. I really wanted more face shots of the CP girl. I thought I had some, but they were all walking towards us so much that it was hard to take the pictures and keep them from falling over the edge of the counter.
